This was the original concept of the database web app that I was asked to redesign.  As you will see through this carousel which documents the design evolution, the selected version is a lot different from the original! 

This was one of the design solutions I initially suggested from which the leading engineer presented me with some inspiration material to inspire my color palette.  The design process was very collaborative in nature. 

I received feedback on a weekly basis.  The agile like nature of our process manifested in appropriate updates and iterations. We steered away from the original color palette and simplified the information architecture.

After iterative rounds of feedback and multiple cups of coffee, we decided on this solution for its simplicity, ease of navigation and visually pleasing aesthetic.
